Inter Academy Adelaide is proud to announce that our upcoming clinic will be led by Lucas Surber, a highly experienced football coach whose career has spanned some of the world’s most passionate football cultures.
Born in Argentina, Lucas enjoyed a professional playing career that took him across South America and Europe, competing in countries including Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Switzerland, Wales and Italy. Along the way, he gained invaluable experience working within a variety of football environments, each with its own unique style, philosophy and approach to player development.
Following his playing career, Lucas transitioned into coaching and academy leadership, becoming heavily involved in the global Inter Academy network. As Director of Inter Academy Bangor City in Wales, he played a key role in delivering the renowned Inter Academy methodology, helping young players develop their technical ability, tactical understanding and love for the game.
His experience also includes involvement with FC Lugano in Switzerland, further strengthening his understanding of European football development pathways and academy structures.
The upcoming clinic will provide players with the opportunity to learn from a coach who has experienced football at the professional level across multiple countries and who has worked directly within the Inter Academy system. Lucas brings a unique combination of South American passion, European football knowledge and a strong commitment to player development.
Most importantly, players can expect the same values that underpin the Inter Academy philosophy worldwide – technical excellence, game intelligence, professionalism, respect and a genuine passion for football.
Now based in Adelaide, Lucas continues to work in senior coaching and technical leadership roles while sharing the knowledge and experience gained throughout his international football journey.
